NannyTank is an au pair management app for au pairs, families and agencies.
Short — one sentence
NannyTank is an au pair management app for au pairs, families and agencies. It helps au pairs track working hours, overtime, kilometres, fuel claims and monthly claims in one place.
Full — one paragraph
NannyTank is an au pair management platform that helps au pairs track hours, overtime and kilometres, generate monthly claims, coordinate with host families and find au pair work. Built in South Africa and used in 12 countries, it is designed around the real admin behind au pair work: daily logs, month-end claims, employer approvals and a record both sides can trust. The employer's side of the app and the au pair marketplace are free.
Preferred spelling is NannyTank — one word, capital N, capital T. Not "Nanny Tank", not "Nannytank".
Current pricing is always on the home page rather than repeated here, so a quote from this page cannot go stale.
Reynard du Toit — bio
Reynard du Toit is the founder of NannyTank. He built the first version after watching his girlfriend — an au pair — lose an evening at the end of every month reconstructing her hours, kilometres and overtime from a notebook and a spreadsheet, and lose money on the trips she could not prove. NannyTank is the product of that month-end problem rather than of a market study, and he still builds it himself.
If a product announcement is not a story, these might be. We are happy to talk on the record about any of them.
The hidden admin problem behind au pair disputes
Most disagreements between au pairs and families are not about the work. They are about what nobody wrote down.
Why kilometres and overtime are where the money quietly goes missing
Two of the most commonly under-claimed things in the job, and why both are hard to reconstruct after the fact.
Au pair work runs on five different legal regimes, not one
In some countries an au pair is an employee with a wage floor; in others it is a cultural exchange with an hours cap and no minimum wage at all. Applying the wrong one can breach a visa. We verified all 12 against primary government sources.

NannyTank has not been written about yet — it launched in 2026 and this is the first press page it has had. If you are working on something in this space, we would rather be useful to you than pitch you: we are happy to share what we have learned about au pair pay, overtime and kilometre reimbursement, on or off the record, whether or not NannyTank appears in it.
