Their App and Yours

They are already with you and the contract already works — this is the admin half. They log their hours and kilometres in their own app, and you get the claim already worked out, a payslip PDF with the UIF done, the shared schedule and the children’s day. Both sides bought outright. Nothing renews.

Who it's for

If they leave

Their licence runs while they are working for you — you are paying for it, and it covers the job you are paying for. When they move on, it stops.

Your side stays yours forever; you never buy that again. It was never attached to a particular au pair. A licence for a new au pair is R399 rather than the full price — the same whether you need it next month or in three years, so nobody is charged more for a resignation they did not choose. You set them up from inside the app in one step.

What they keep is their record: their account, every month they logged, and the spreadsheet, permanently. That is deliberate. A record that died when you stopped paying would not be theirs — and if it is not theirs, they have no reason to keep it accurate, which is the whole point of you paying for it. Ending a licence hands you nothing of theirs.
